Discussion and possible action to approve the following budget to carry over $500,000.00 in grant balances for the Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (TEMAP) into Fiscal Year 2022 Fund #2531 and any other matters incident thereto. This action will have no impact to the General fund.

Issue: These Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (TEMAP) Grant funds where unused from the prior fiscal year. Newly implemented procedures require year-end balances to be carried over and entered in the system in order to continue the availability of these grant funds.

Solution: Commissioners Court Authorization to carry over year-end balances for the Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program.

Result: Continued availability of Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program funds for the Webb County Community Action Agency Social Services.

Background:

This grant will allow us to continue assisting eligible non-entitlement residents throughout Webb County, Texas affected by COVID-19 with mortgage assistance.

Previous Court Action:

The Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program award was accepted by Commissioner's Court on August 23, 2021.
