Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of two (2) VECTOR LPR Rapid Deployment Trailer from Jenoptik Light & Safety for the amount not to exceed $97,000 and In accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.024 Discretionary Exemptions (a)(7a) items for which competition is precluded because of the existence of patents, copyrights, secret processes, or monopolies and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Sheriff's Office will be utilizing federal grant funds to purchase a VECTOR LPR Rapid Deployment Trailer to gather data for investigative purposes.

Solution: Authorize the grant supported equipment in order to provide the Webb County Sheriff's Office with the necessary investigative tools.

Result: Proceed with the grant funded purchase.
