Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Proposals (RFP) for Inmate Phone Services for the Webb County Jail in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.030 (Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedure for Certain Goods and Services) and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Sheriff provides means of communication for the incarcerated through contracted vendors to include equipment, installation, software maintenance, collection of fees, commission payments and support services.

Solution: Solicit RFP for these services. Current contract final extension will expire at end of July 2022 and/or may be terminated prior without penalty to Webb County or Contracted Vendor.

Result: Continue providing telephone services to Webb County inmates.
