Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to seek competitive proposals for a Preventive Maintenance Service Agreement for the HVAC System located at the downtown campus main chiller plant and all other associated components tied to the main chiller plant in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.030 Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedures for Certain Goods and Services and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Webb County is seeking an annual / quarterly inspection, maintenance and other related routine checks to ensure the HVAC system for Webb County downtown campus is maintained and inspected frequently to ensure optimum performance.

Solution: Seek consent from Commissioners Court, in the best interest for Webb County to authorize the Purchasing Agent to seek competitive proposals from vendors who are certified to work on Trane equipment and other brands of HVAC equipment currently installed and operational in the downtown campus for Webb County.

Result: Initiate the formal procurement process to seek competitive proposal and return to Commissioners Court for award of highest ranking proposal.
