Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of livestock equipment for The Webb County Sheriff's Office for the improvements of the livestock holding pens from Priefert Manufacturing Inc., (The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) #200-501) in an amount not to exceed $50,070.52 in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Sections 270.001 and to further authorize the transfer of funds from the General Operating Reserve Account to the Sheriff’s Bargaining Capital Outlay account for the amount authorized by Commissioner Court and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-3010-001-470000 (General Fund-Sheriff’s Bargaining Unit-Capital Outlay)]

Issue: The Livestock Division’s holding pens and related structures require upgrades and adequate housing for the stray livestock impounded in Webb County by the Sheriff’s Office.

Solution: Review and authorize price proposal submitted by Priefert Manufacturing Co, Inc. Pricing submitted is part of The Interlocal Purchasing System, meeting all the competitive bidding requirements of the State.

Result: If authorized by Commissioners Court, order will be placed on March the 14th, by the Purchasing Agent for Webb County.
