Discussion and possible action to enroll eligible County Employees and all Elected Officials in the Texas Association of Counties' (TAC) Cybersecurity Course in order to comply with HB 3834; with additional action to approve the appointment of required Primary Assigned Course Administrator and Additional Course Administrators; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Under a new state law, Tex. Gov't Code §2054.5191, effective June 14, 2019, requires all local government employees and elected officials who have access to a local government computer system or database to annually complete a cybersecurity training program certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).

Solution: Enroll eligible employees and all County Officials in TAC's DIR certified cybersecurity course at no cost to the County.

Result: Compliance with State mandate.
