Discussion and possible and action to authorize the purchase of a OptiPlex 7090 Ultra Computer Bundle – 27” Monitor from Dell (DIR-TSO-3763) in an amount not to exceed $9,459.71 and Microsoft Software from SHI Government Solutions (DIR-TSO-4092) in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 for the Office of Justice of the Peace Pct.1, Pl.2 - Judge Oscar Liendo, pursuant to Article 102.0173, Texas Criminal Traffic Judicial Code of Criminal Procedure and in accordance with Sections 271.101 and 271.102, Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing program. [Requested by Oscar Liendo, Justice of the Peace Pct.1, Pl. 2; Account #2009-2150-001-460105 (Court Technology Fund - Minor Tools and Apparatus)

Issue: The Webb County Purchasing Policy and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure requires Commissioners Court to authorize the use of funds from the Technology Fund. Justice of the Peace Pct. 1, Pl. 2 Office is requesting funding to purchase the allowable items permitted by law such as computer and related technological enhancements for operational use.

Solution: Authorize the purchase of allowable technology items in an amount not to exceed the projected budget listed in the subject area utilizing cooperative vendors.

Result: Proceed with approved items and initiate the request to purchase the requested item for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1, Pl. 2 Office.
