Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to secure competitive pricing for the purchase of three (3) computers, two (2) Hand Scanners, and related Adobe software for the JP Pct. 2, Pl.1 for a total not to exceed $6,525.58 pursuant to Article 102.0173, Texas Criminal Traffic Judicial Code of Criminal Procedure and to further authorize the transfer of funds from Account #2009-259700 to Account #2009-2160-001-460105 and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: We need to replace 3 of the 6 last oldest computers in our possession. A hand scanner is needed in the civil department to be more efficient. The Adobe annual license has to be renewed on a yearly basis and is used for the electronic signature feature.

Solution: Submit a budget amendment to the Governing Body that clearly lists and defines the category of expenditure.

Result: Authorize the purchase to help us continue to run an efficient day-to-day operation.
