Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise formal Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services for the design, preparation of construction documents and construction administration for the Webb County South Fire Station to be located in the La Presa Colonia Subdivision pursuant to the Texas Government Code; Chapter 2254 (Professional and Consulting Services) and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: As part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Webb County was awarded approximately $53 million in federal funds to address the local needs generated by the COVID 19 pandemic.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit formal RFQ to secure proposals from Architectural firms.

Result: Selection of an Architectural firm based on its demonstrated competence, knowledge, and qualifications.
