Discussion and possible action to request the Webb County Purchasing Agent issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a Golf Course Architect to assist the County in preparing for and re-designing the Casa Blanca Golf Course due to the impending acquisition of approximately 9.226 acres out of the golf course by the State and any matters incident thereto. Issue: TxDOT will be acquiring acreage out of the golf course due to the expansion of Loop 20 which will take acreage from the golf courses (irrigation pond, part of fairway and green as well as the storage building) and the course will need to be reconfigured.

Solution: Retain the services of a golf course architect to assist the County in the reconfiguration and redesign of the golf course to remediate the damage to the golf course caused by the TxDOT taking.

Background:

Impending acquisition of approximately 9.226 acres out of the golf course by the State will require a redesign of the golf course.
