Discussion and possible action to approve a construction contract between Webb County and Waukesha-Pearce Industries, LLC (Buy-Board Cooperative Contract #657-21) for the delivery, setup, installation and startup of two (2) industrial size Generac diesel Generators (50kw / 25kw) and transfer switches for the Quad City Fire Station and JP/Constable Building in an amount not to exceed $156,112.00 pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sections 271.101, 271.102, Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Programs and to further authorize the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: On June 13, 2022, during a regular meeting, Commissioners Court voted to add the JP and Constable Building to the backup generator project originally planned for the Quad City Fire Station.

Solution: Proceed with recommended changes and cooperative price proposal for the installation of two industrial-size generators to provide backup power to both the Quad City Fire Station and to the JP/Constable’s Office.

Result: If approved, construction contract can be executed and notice to proceed issued. Expected lead time on equipment is 20-26 weeks.
