Discussion and possible action to accept the 2022 - 2023 Refunding, Cost of Living, and Quality Improvement grant (Year 4 of a 5-Year Funding Cycle) for the Head Start and Early Head Start program in the amount of $11,537,698 (Federal), with an in-kind match of $2,884,425 (Non Federal), for a total of $14,422,123 to serve 1,218 Head Start and 72 Early Head Start eligible children and their families from September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 in Webb County. Acceptance of this grant award includes approval of a salary adjustment and the filling of new/revised/vacant positions, as documented in the narrative of the grant application.

Background:

The Notice of Award is for year four of a five-year grant cycle.

Previous Court Action:

The grant application was approved by the Webb County Commissioners Court on May 25, 2022.
