Discussion and possible action to accept the 2022 - 2023 Refunding, Cost of Living, and Quality Improvement grant (Year 4 of a 5 Year Funding Cycle) for the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership program in the amount of $893,525 (Federal), with an in-kind match of $223,381 (Non Federal), for a total of $1,116,906 to serve 72 eligible children and their families from September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 in Webb County. Acceptance of this grant award includes approval of a 3% Cost of Living increase and the filling of new/revised/vacant positions, as documented in the narrative of the grant application.

Background:

The Notice of Award is for year four of a five-year funding cycle.

Previous Court Action:

The grant application was approved by the Webb County Commissioners Court on May 23, 2022.
