Discussion and possible action to approve an Agreement for one year (October 1, 2022 - September 30, 2023) between the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Webb County Constable Pct. 1 in the amount of $19,841, to fund Account #2583-3150-001-413000 and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. There will be no financial impact to the general fund, as FLSA pay, straight time, overtime, and fringe benefits will be paid through federal forfeiture funds in the total amount of $4,829.00. Issue: Collaboration between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies is necessary to pursue and dismantle organized crime organizations along Webb County and the state of Texas. Solution: Accept federal assistance to continue local participation in Joint Operations under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces Program. Result: Disruption of organized crime activity along the Texas border and in Webb County.
