Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of two hundred and twenty-seven (227) Safariland Holsters, Slimline Mag Pouch and Stream-Lights with mounts from GT Distributors (Buy-Board #603-20) for a total not to exceed $57,233.78 and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-3010-001-460140 (General Fund-Sheriff Patrol-Administration-Fire Arms & Ammunition) and #1001-3010-001-456305 (General Fund-Sheriff Patrol-Administration-Uniforms)]

Issue: The Sheriff’s Office is recommending replacement of all Sig Sauer P320 weapons due to recent reports of accidental misfires reported locally and in other jurisdictions. The replacement weapons will require holsters, mag pouches and lights as the necessary accessories for the safety of officer.

Solution: Authorize the purchase to proceed with the replacement of potentially defective weapons and its accessories.

Result: If approved, order will be placed immediately to process the order.
