Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit for competitive proposals for Security Camera Upgrades at the Webb County Jail in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.030 (Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedure for Certain Goods and Services) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-4070-001-470000 (General Fund – Sheriff’s Jail Administration - Capital Outlay)]

Issue: The Webb County Jail’s security camera system is obsolete and requires replacement to enhance the security measures at the Jail for the safety of staff and those incarcerated. The Sheriff’s Office requested funding during the budget process to fund this project under the general fund during fiscal year 2022-2023.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to seek competitive sealed proposals for this project.

Result: Return to Court with the best value proposal for Commissioners Court to consider for award.
