Discussion and possible action to approve grant award contract #61230003814 (“Contract”) for the Community Service Block Grant Program (CSBG) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for FY-2023, in the amount of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY SIX DOLLARS ($153,196.00) and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. Contract shall commence on January 01, 2023 and shall end on December 31, 2023. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund. Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development Department and is compliant with SPOC policies and procedures.

Issue: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Webb County Community Action Agency the amount of $153,196.00 under the Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG).

Solution: The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) provides support services to eligible elderly, and disabled and low-income residents of Webb County.

Result: The support services are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents to transition out of poverty.
