Discussion and possible action to approve contract extension request to contract #58220003600 (“Contract”) for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for FY-2022 extending the contract from January 01, 2022 and February 28, 2023 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. Contract commenced on January 01, 2022 and will not have an impact to the General Fund. Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development Department and is compliant with SPOC policies and procedures.

Issue: Approve CEAP contract extension request from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2022.

Solution: The Court approval will allow the Webb County CAA to provide direct services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County under the CEAP Program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist qualifying clients with their home energy expenses.
