Discussion and possible action to approve an amendment to the CoreCivic Inter-Governmental Service Agreement (IGSA) 70CDCR18DIG000004 at the Webb County Detention Center in Laredo, TX, in order to incorporate Wage Determinations (WD) by the Department of Labor for positions not listed in WD 2015-5240. Said positions shall include reconformance of Assistant Shift Supervisor, Laundry Supervisor, Recreation Supervisor and Senior Detention Officer; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. This will have no impact on the County's General Fund and there is no requisition with this Amendment. [Requested by the Webb County Sheriffs' Office, WCDC Account #1001-209250-180]

Background:

On February 26, 2018 Item No.22 the Webb Commissioners Court authorized the Civil Legal Division to enter into negotiations and enter into an agreement pursuant to Tex. Gov. Code 272.005. Pursuant to IGSA Contracts 70DCR18DIG000004 and 70DCR18DIG000010 Webb County is a Service Provider for Federal detainees. CoreCivic is the current subcontractor and owner of the Webb County Detention Center (WCDC) and the Laredo Processing Center (LPC). WCDC and LPC are subject to the IGSA contract requirements and must meet classification and wage rate determinations pursuant to U.S. Department of Labor.
