Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for formal Request for Proposals for Cloud based file management and application software for the Webb County Planning Department pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sec. 262.030. Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedure for Certain Goods and Services and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Cloud based file management and application software needed in order to streamline and improve/modernize application submittal, payment, inspection, review and approval process for public services provided by the Webb County Planning Department, including, but not limited to floodplain determination & development permits, public water & sewer, OSSF, electrical services, platting and investigation of environmental complaints.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to seek competitive proposals in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; §262.030. Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedure for Certain Goods and Services.

Result: Proceed with a formal advertisement to secure proposals for scope of work being requested by the Planning department. Return to Commissioners Court with a recommendation for award at a future scheduled public meeting.
