Discussion and possible action to authorize the Economic Development Department to develop and submit an application to U.S. Department of Agriculture- Rural Development (USDA-RD) in the amount of ONE MILLION ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,150,000.00) for street improvements in El Cenizo. All required documents were sent for review to the Economic Development and the Solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures.This action will have no impact to the County General Fund.

Issue: Residents of El Cenizo and emergency vehicles are oftentimes unable to safely navigate the streets during flooding events causing serious safety concerns

Solution: Improve streets fissure and substandard streets in El Cenizo.

Result: The completion of the road renovations in El Cenizo will improve local residents' access to the roads while removing potential threats to public safety.
