Discussion and possible action to approve Amendment No.1 for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Emergency Supplemental (CEAP ES) Contract Number# 58930004003 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) FY-2023. This amendment is a grant increase from $548,060 to $849,249, for a total increase of THree Hundred-One Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($301,189). Authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents for request and approval of contract amendment. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund.

Issue: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Amendment No. 1 to Contract Number #58930004003 under the (CEAP Supplemental) Program.

Solution:The court approval will allow Webb County CAA to provide emergency assistance to low-income households of Webb County under the CEAP Supplemental program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents meet their immediate household energy needs.
