Discussion and possible action to approve the posting and filling of the Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program Case Manager slot, Department of Justice Grant associated with grant opportunity number 15PJDP-23-GG-00869-DGCT. Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program, subject to the availability of payroll funds and any applicable Civil Service guidelines, effective October 1, 2023. All salary and fringe will be paid 100% by grant funds. There will be no impact to the General Fund. This item has been reviewed by Economic Development and has been found to be in compliance with Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

Issue: Currently, the slot for JDTCP Case Manager is vacant.

Solution: Commissioners Court approval will allow for the position to be filled and operable under the new DOJ grant.

Result: The slot will be able to be filled effective 10/1/23 under the title of JDTCP Case Manager.

Background:

Webb County Court-at-Law II received grant funds to establish a Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program. The funds allow for the creation of a case manager position to report to Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Director and Judge.
