Discussion and possible action to appoint Victor Vasquez III as Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program Director as written, submitted and approved on DOJ OJJDP Grant (Award number 15PJDP-23-GG-00869-DGCT). The appointment to be effective October 1, 2023 with a salary adjustment of $8,400.00 per year as written, submitted and approved on the grant award. All required documents were sent to the Economic Development Department and were found in compliance with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy.

Issue: The DOJ awarded grant allows for Webb County Court-at-Law II to establish a Juvenile Drug Treatment Court. The court will work with many agencies to effectively fulfill its duty.

Solution: The court approve the appointment as stated and approved on grant application.

Result: The Court Director will develop and out the grant’s requirements as approved. Will work to streamline a specialized treatment plan for participants, oversee the day to day operations of the court.

The court previously approved the acceptance of grant award as written and approved.
