Discussion and possible action to ratify the execution of Change Order No. 1 between Webb County, Texas on behalf of their CAA Self-Help Center and Midas Contractors, LLC., for Rehabilitation Contract Number- SHC 7220013-REHAB-03, in the amount of One Thousand Three Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($1,300.00) thereby increasing the total contract amount to the new total amount of Seventy-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($72,700.00). The change order is needed by contractor to repair and replace 10 linear feet of copper water line and patch and paint the affected interior walls; and authorizing the County Judge to execute any and all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. Background:

The contractor that was fixing a home assisted under the Webb CAA Self-Help Center Rehabilitation Program, discovered a previously undiscovered water line leak in the home that was totally unrelated to the rehabilitation work being performed. Due to the discovery of the water leak, an emergency change order was requested and approved by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to repair the line leak. The change order increased the contract by one thousand three hundred dollars ($1,300.00) by replacing 10 linear feet of water line and patch and paint the affected interior walls. The total contract cost including Change Order No, 1 is Seventy-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($72,700.00).
