Discussion and possible action to award RFQ 2024-005 "MEP Engineering Services for Fairgrounds Climate Control System" to sole proposer DBR Engineering for Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineering Services for design, development of cost estimates, preparation of construction documents and construction administration for the delivery, installation and startup of a new climate control System for the Webb County’s Fairground’s exhibition barn facility in accordance with the State of Texas Government Code; Professional Services Procurement Act and to further authorize General Counsel to negotiate the terms and conditions of the professional services agreement and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Webb County Commissioners Court previously authorized the Purchasing Agent to secure Statement of Qualifications for these professional services on 11/13/2023.

Solution: Consideration to approve the sole proposal from DBR Engineering. Firm has seven (7) locations in the State of Texas of which includes a Laredo office and firm has been in business since 1972.

Result: If approved, the Civil Legal Department will negotiate the terms, conditions and applicable fees for Commissioners Courts approval for the professional services requested.
