Discussion and possible action to authorize a county sponsorship in the amount of Fifteen Thousand ($15,000.00), from Hotel/Motel funds to the Casa Blanca Golf Course in anticipation of their upcoming annual Webb County Open golf tournament in Laredo, Webb County, Texas, with further action to transfer $15,000 from Account #2004-1010-001-463609 (TAMIU Alumni Association); and any other matters incident thereto. [Hotel/Motel Community Promotion Account #2004-1010-001-463526]

Issue: Casa Blanca Golf Course will host its annual Webb County Open golf tournament on April 11-14, 2024 and Webb County will be the title sponsor of this event.

Solution: Sponsorship amount will be used to offset expenses and allow for promotional items to be distributed.

Result: Adequate and successful promotion of Webb County, Casa Blanca Golf Course, and the annual Webb County Open golf tournament.
