Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to secure competitive cooperative pricing for the purchase of Eight (8) Industrial Sized Evaporator Coolers with a 46 gallon capacity and up to 3,600 sq. ft. of coverage in an amount not to exceed $33,600.00 for the Webb County Fairgrounds and to further authorize the transfer of funds from the General Operating – Reserve account #1001-1130-001-431007-010 to the Fairgrounds Minor Tools and Apparatus account #2031-1010-001-460105 and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Fairgrounds Department requested and as authorized by Commissioners Court, the purchase of multiple industrial-sized portable coolers to utilize in their respective facilities to circulate airflow in those areas that lack climate control systems.

Solution: Authorize the purchase as presented by the Purchasing Agent. Pricing will be secured under State approved cooperative contracts that have met all the competitive bidding requirements of the State and the Webb County Purchasing Policy.

Result: If approved by Commissioners Court, order will be placed contingent upon posting of budget amendment for the requested sum of $33,600.00.
