Discussion and possible action to adopt a Water Conservation Plan for the Webb County Utilities Department to promote the protection and proper utilization of Webb County’s water resources to insure an uninterrupted supply of water sufficient to satisfy essential needs and any matters incident thereto.

Issue: Existing Water Conservation Plan was last adopted on February 9, 2007, and is required to be updated yearly.

Solution: To save water, minimize water waste and the harmful effects of a drought.

Result: Webb County Water Utilities will enforce the adopted Water Conservation Plan to reduce the volume of water withdrawn from the Rio Grande Water Supply source to improve the efficiency of water use.
