Discussion and possible action to award Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2024-003 “Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training” to lowest and responsible bidder Grace CDL Truck Driving School for Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training through the Community Services Block Grant for the Webb County Community Action Agency pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Subchapter C. Competitive Bidding in General, §262.021 (The County Purchasing Act) and to further authorize the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The purpose of these awarded services is to provide Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training for qualified Webb County residents. Successful bidder will train applicants needing entry level driver training (ELDT) to comply with the new Federal Entry Level Driver Training rules.

Solution: Consideration to approve the lowest and responsible bidder Grace CDL Truck Driving School, in accordance with the County Purchasing Act.

Result: If approved, authorize General Counsel to prepare and execute the service agreement for the awarded services.
