Issue: The Webb Constable Pct. 3 inadvertently exceeded the allotted funds of the 2022 OPSG grant in the amount of $13,368.00. This occurred by a clerical mistake (internally) in budgeting the allotted funds at a deputy pay scale of $20.90 and not taking into account adjustments necessary for ranking officers working the grant at a different rate of pay.

Solution: By seeking assistance from Commissioners Court to approve line item transfer from the Operational Reserve Account #1001-1130-001-431007-010 would circumvent any issues with employees regarding wages for hours worked.

Result: The administrative staff of the Webb County Constables Office PCT. 3 will work closely with the assigned internal project director for OPSG grant and implement internal audits/modules and have said budget reports checked with County Auditors to ensure that this incident is avoided in the future.
