Discussion and possible action to authorize the Public Health Services Department to oversee the County Employee Clinic currently overseen by the Risk Management Department, including its approved budget, current staff, and any services currently being provided, and any matters incident thereto.

Issue: The Employee Clinic services hundreds of County employees and provides numerous health benefits to covered employees and their families. The Public Health Services Department shares the same commitment and has the ideal resources to better utilize the Employee Clinic and enhance its services.

Solution: Approval of the above stated item.

Result: This will allow for the Employee Clinic to be better staffed, maintain the efficiency of tracking the employee Wellness Program activities, obtain discounted rates on supplies and disposal services to possibly reduce expenses, and provide continuous expansion of the services offered to covered County employees and their families.
