Discussion and possible action to authorize the renewal of the agreement between Webb County Community Action Agency and Reliant Energy Retail Services, Limited Liability Company (LLC) for Consumers Affordable Resource for Energy (C.A.R.E.) Program. The purpose of these contributions is to provide funding for energy assistance payments to Reliant customers under the CARE program. Webb County Community Action Agency will continue to utilize these funds to assist qualified Reliant Energy Retail Services clients and authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. All required documents were sent to the Economic Development Department and were found in compliance with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy. This agreement will have no impact on the general fund. [Account #2923-5170-521-441210]

Issue: WCCAA has a remaining balance of $1,003.00 under the Reliant Energy Retail LLC CARE program.

Solution: To approve the renewal of the agreement between WCCAA and Reliant Energy Retail LLC CARE program.

Result: Community Action Agency will continue to accept enrollment applications from potential clients and qualify Reliant Energy customers as eligible recipients in accordance with Reliant Energy Consumers Affordable Resource for Energy (CARE) program requirements, in order to expend remaining funds.
