Discussion and possible action to accept the rankings and award Request for Proposal (RFP) 2024-006 "Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing for Webb County" to the highest ranking respondent, Laredo Examiners, Inc., in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; §262.030 (Alternative Proposal Procedures for Certain Goods and Services) and to further authorize the Civil Legal Department to negotiate the terms and conditions of the service agreement and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Due to the high volume of required drug and alcohol testing needed, it is recommended that a three-year drug and alcohol testing agreement be entered into for these requested services for current and prospective Webb County employees.

Solution: Consideration to accept and award Request for Proposal (RFP) 2024-006 "Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing for Webb County" to, Laredo Examiners, Inc.

Result: Award RFP to Laredo Examiners, authorize the Civil Legal Department to negotiate terms and conditions of the agreement.

On February 26, 2024, item no. 13c., the commissioners court authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise a Request for Proposal for a 3-yr. service agreement for Employee Drug and Alcohol Laboratory Services.
