Discussion and possible action to authorize Webb County Community Action Agency to modify Job Description; full-time regular position for a Community Social Services (CSS) Data System Manager and fill Slot #2884. Civil Service will revise and approve upon meeting date Thursday, August 25, 2016. Position to be funded from Account #920-4202-5001 Community Social Services Block Grant Program ( CSBG) Account #911-4226-5001 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). Position will be 100% grant funded and there will be no impact on the general fund.

Issue: A manager is needed to fill vacant slot, however slot called for advanced education.

Solution: Create and fill a new position/job description to fit the needs of position with similar standards to prior slot and adhere to department/county policies overall.

Result: Department will be operating under a new qualified, proactive manager that will help alleviate workloads and create productivity within C.A.A. in general.
