Discussion and possible action to approve a non financial agreement by and between The City of Laredo through their Health Department and Webb County for the loan, use and operation of a city owned mobile morgue unit, and authorizing the County Judge to execute any and all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. No financial impact to Webb County. [Requested by Dr. Corinne Stern, Webb County Medical Examiner]

Issue: Due to numerous recent incidents, the Webb County Medical Examiner Dr. Corine Stern, has requested emergency support and assistance from the City of Laredo for the deployment, use and operation of a city owned mobile fatality morgue in order to handle the surge of accident related mass casualties and/or drowning deaths from persons attempting to cross the Rio Grande.

Solution: Approval of agreement between the City of Laredo and Webb County for the temporary use of a mobile morgue unit to handle the surge of fatalities of persons in Webb County

Result: The mobile morgue unit will provide the Webb County Medical Examiner much needed additional emergency support to handle the increase of fatalities of persons in Webb County.
