Discussion and possible action to approve the 2017 Formula Grant Indigent Defense Resolution. The Texas Commission on Indigent Defense has budgeted $24,000,000, for fiscal year 2016-2017, to develop and maintain quality, cost effective defense system that meets the needs of local communities and the requirements of the Constitution and state law. This amount is shared by other counties throughout the state. Webb County will be eligible to receive a portion of the funding. This is a yearly grant resolution. There will be no impact on the general fund.
