Discussion and possible action to approve the interdepartmental transfer of an employee from Slot #2695 to Slot #2888 and allow for the posting and filling of Slot #2695, subject upon the availability of payroll funds and any applicable civil service guidelines.

Issue: The employee that was in slot #2888 resigned effective August 18, 2016. Our department was not able to fill the slot due to the hiring freeze.

Solution: We would like to fill slot #2888, with an interdepartmental transfer from slot #2695 to slot #2888. This will leave vacant slot #2695 and would like approval to fill slot #2695 with any Webb County employee that qualifies for said position. Allowing us this approval will give us the opportunity to operate with a full staff.

Result: It will allow us to operate with a full staff, if the court approves this agenda item.
