Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve an Affiliation Agreement between Webb County and Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Inc., Fort Duncan Medical Center, L.P., McAllen Hospital, L.P., and UHS of Texoma, Inc.; and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Webb County will be participating in the Local Healthcare Transformation Support (LHTS) Program in an effort to ensure that regional providers are able to fully maximize their Uncompensated Care (U/C) and Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program payments. Webb County will collaborate with other Health Care Funding Districts in situations where their respective IGT entities are not able to fully fund the IGT required by HHSC.

Solution: Approval of the affiliation agreements is necessary for participation in the LTHS Program.

Result: If approved, a copy of the executed affiliation agreement will be forwarded to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
