Discussion and possible action authorizing the Engineering Department to use funds from Account #712-7101-6022 (Professional Services-Bond Series 2006) in the amount of $20,000.00 for Title Search Reports, Surveys, limited fence relocation and other professional services as needed on Webb County Colonias Roadway Right of Way and Public Utility Easement acquisitions. Issue: In order to proceed with the project improvements and/or construction of existing roads, the County must acquire the right-of-way from parcels adjacent to these roads.

Solutions: Obtain the ownership of lots or tracts adjacent to the existing county roads to proceed with the preparation of necessary legal documentation.

Result: Residents of Webb County Colonias will have a better access.

Background:

These funds were allocated from Bond Series 2006 for Hwy 59 Colonias and Hwy 359 Colonias for roadway right-of-way acquisition.

Previous Court Action:

Commissioner Court approved in 2013 the use of Funds from Account #664-7101-6022 (Bond Series 2003) for similar purposes.
