Discussion and possible action to approve the First (1st) Option to renew building lease agreement between Mouse Properties Holdings, Ltd. (Lessor) and Webb County for the Sheriff's Department (Tenant) for a Ten (10) month term effective December 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 in accordance with Article 36 (Option to Renew); monthly installments will be $5,239.20 for a total of $52,392 for the 10 month term and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. [Forfeiture Funds Account #170-2001-6227 (Space Rental)] 
Background:
Currently, the Webb County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is housed in this rental property located at 919 Washington Street. The Webb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to exercise the First (1st) Option to extend lease for an additional 10 months.  The extension of lease agreement will permit no interruption with ongoing investigations that are critical to our border area in dismantling money laundering, weapons smuggling and other related criminal operations.  This location also serves as office space for cooperating law enforcement agencies and as a central command center for operational planning.
 
The rental of building is funded 100% by forfeiture funds.  No impact to General fund.
