Discussion and possible action to re-appoint the Civil Service Commissioners, for a Two-year term, commencing January 1, 2017 thru December 31, 2019; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Term has expired for current Commissioners James Kuykendall, Rey Ayala, and Oscar Maldonado.

Solution: James Kuykendall and Rey Ayala are willing to serve another term, if the court so approves. Since only two commissioners are willing to serve another term, there is no quorum. The Commissioners Court may recommend names of individuals that might be interested in serving on the Civil Service Commission.

Result: The re-appointment of the two current commissioners plus the recommendation of the court will insure smooth and efficiently run Commission, and will provide good continuity for such an important function.
