Recognition for county employees that completed the American Red Cross Shelter Fundamentals and Shelter Management Training on December 7, 2016 that was held at the Texas Department of Public Safety Laredo Office. Employees represented the following departments: Bruni Community Center, Emergency Management, Engineering, Fred and Anita Bruni Community Center, Larga Vista Community Center, Public Information Office, Risk Management, Santa Teresita Community Center, and the Webb County Fire Department. [Requested by Laura Govea, Emergency Management Coordinator]
Background:
Background: In the event of an emergency or disaster requiring the provision of shelter services for Webb County residents, county employees attend shelter training to be better prepared for staffing shelters under the leadership of American Red Cross shelter managers as prescribed in the county emergency operations plan.
