Discussion and possible action to approve the modification of titles, job descriptions and qualifications for the following slots to be submitted to the civil service commission for certification; and any other matters incident thereto.

Slot #2816 - Assistant County Attorney II
Slot #0862 - Administrative Services Director
Slot #2426 - Human Resource Administrator
Slot #1709 - Principal Accountant
Slot #2290 - Community Events Coordinator
Slot #1333 - Utilities System Director

Issue: During the budget adoption for fiscal year 2016-17, several new departments were created such as the business and financial office, environmental and gaming task force and the separation of the Risk Management and Human Resource departments. All new job descriptions or modifications to existing job descriptions for any position must be approved by the Commissioners Court prior to being submitted to civil service commission for certification.

Solution: Approve the submittal of job descriptions and/or modifications to existing titles and job descriptions for certification by the civil service commission.

Result: Comply with civil service rules and regulations.
