Discussion and possible action to authorize county staff to review the proposed policies for the Webb County Safety Certification program for future adoption and implementation; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: There is no current certification policy in Webb County. This program will address employee trainings, incentive/recognition, Review Board/Process and Discipline.

Solution: Coordinate with various (legal, HR) departments to instigate and formalize a certification policy/program in place for Webb County.

Result: Webb County will have a Certification Program in place and employees will be trained, equipped and certified safety employees with the skill sets, knowledge and clear expectations of what it means to be a safety employee of Webb County.
