Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for the construction of a new fire station to be located on HWY 83 North, in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 2269.303 (Contracts for Building: Design Build). [Bond Series 2013 - GL #3150-1060-001-470000 and 2013 Bond Series Account #740-0204-8801] [Co-Sponsored by Tano E. Tijerina, County Judge]

Issue: Bond Series 2013 allows for construction of new fire station facilities.

Solution: Constructing a new fire station on HWY 83 North will provide for faster response time to nearby communities.

Result: Utilize the Bond Series funding as intended. Complete the Fire station location on HWY 83.

On January 11, 2016, Commissioners Court approved the construction of New administrative Fire Station off HWY 59.
