Discussion and possible action to retain the services of Allison, Bass & Magee, LLP, to provide expert advice regarding a proposed Chapter 381 Cuatro Vientos Development Agreement with Webb County; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: The court authorized the county attorney’s office to enter into formal contractual negotiations with Laredo Four Winds II and 4V Holdings, Ltd. for a potential Chapter 381 ad-valorem tax abatement agreement with the county.
The county attorney’s office is requesting outside legal counsel from Mr. Jim Allison who is an expert in these matters.

Solution: Retain the legal services of Allison, Bass & Magee, LLP to assist in this matter.

Result: Finalize legal questions surrounding request for Chapter 381 abatement agreement with the county.
