Discussion with possible action to allow law enforcement departments to utilize their respective Training & Education Line Item within their respective budget for part-time sworn peace officers; and any other matters incident thereto. (Co-Sponsored by Commissioner John C. Galo)

Issue: Current policy does not permit for part-time employees to be sent to training; this includes peace officers.

Solution: Having Commissioners Court approve for part-time sworn peace officers to be allowed to be sent to training.

Result: Trained officers to ensure safety and law updates amongst other required and mandated training.
