Discussion and possible action to authorize Dept. 7002 Road & Bridge to set work summer hours for construction crews from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 1/2 hour lunch; starting June 2, 2017 through September 29, 2017.

Issue: Current work schedule (7:30 am to 6:00 pm) will expose our field crews to the intense heat of summer months.

Solution: Temporarily change work schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Result: Our field crews will be less exposed to the heat during the day and will be able to perform their daily duties in a better and safer manner.
