Discussion and possible action to approve the Head Start and Early Head Start Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) grant applications for the 2017 - 2018 Fiscal Year in the amounts of $89,554 (Federal) and $22,389 (Non Federal) for Head Start and $8,974 (Federal) and 2,244 (Non Federal) for Early Head Start. The Total grant award for COLA is $98,528 (Federal) and $24,633 (Non Federal).

Background:

The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, contains an increase of 1.0 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to assist grantees in increasing staff salaries and fringe benefits and offsetting higher operating costs.
